IMG_9382HIKING.  Among Switzerland's countless picture-perfect vistas, Graubunden manages to stand out due to the quality of its raw natural beauty – and hiking is the best method of absorbing and observing the incredible sights within a singular immersive experience. With over 6,800 miles of winding trails, there’s no shortage of scenic paths to choose from and enjoy.

MOUNTAIN BIKING. With a massive network of mountain trails, bike-friendly hotels, adrenaline-filled bike parks, and convenient transport services, it’s extremely easy to be “two wheels good” in Graubunden. Saddle up and enjoy the cool breeze on your face as you traverse the magnificent topography at your own pace.

WATER SPORTS. There are many unique aquatic opportunities on offer in the Graubaunden region, especially in the Upper Engadine lake district near St. Moritz, where the Maloja wind (which typically picks up after noon on sunny summer days) creates perfect conditions for sailing with wind forces of 3 to 6 Beaufort.

SCENIC TRAINS.
The Glacier Express travels over 291 bridges spread across 180 miles of track as it runs between St. Moritz and Zermatt. The famous journey on the “slowest train in the world” is considered one of the best scenic rail excursions one can experience. Available year-round, a good time to take the trip is during the summer when the lush green scenery is at its best and brightest.
