Visit Finland - Rediscover Experiential Travel

In recent years, travelers have learned to dare, seek out the unknown, and immerse themselves in the culture of their destination. Because of this shift in the travel industry, Finland is finding itself in a very favorable position. Simple sightseeing is not as satisfying anymore, and wholesome experiences are becoming the new norm.

In partnership with Visit Finland, Avanti Destinations have developed a new e-brochure entitled Footsteps Across Finland. Find great info on destinations, learn more about the culture, and the services we offer. Here are the main takeaways:

Winter destination: In Lapland, northern Finland, winter can last from November until May. This means that travelers can enjoy an exciting winter destination outside the busy season. Summer months are also great to enjoy the nature and it’s striking sceneries.

There’s more than meets the eye: Packed with exciting experiences, here you can enjoy sledding with huskies or reindeer in the winter, or you can experience the native Sami culture anytime of the year.

The Northern Lights: Ideal for honeymooners, and families alike, past the Arctic Circle you can enjoy the iconic Northern Lights from the comfort of a glass-roofed private cabin. Visitors can also set out into the Lappish tundra on a snowmobile expedition to witness this natural phenomenon.

Santa Claus Village: Rovaniemi is the official residence of Santa Claus. Ride a reindeer sled through the Article Circle and explore Santa’s village before meeting the one and only Santa Claus himself. To be honest, adults enjoy it just as much as children do.

Finland is a breath of fresh air on the European travel scene, and we encourage everyone to acknowledge the new, step outside the comfort zone, and experience a different type of destination.
